Forklift Nissan

Nissan Forklift Truck

Nissan’s initial steps in forklift truck production were taken in 1957 in response to requirement within the company’s own manufacturing operations. From 1965 on units were exported, initially to USA, and from 1967 into Europe.

Nowadays Nissan has its own dedicated forklift plants in Japan, Spain and the USA. Nissan sells and services forklifts in more than 75 countries around the world.

Since the manufacturing volume has increased at the individual plants, Nissan gradually increased the level of local sourcing of components. Without compromising on quality of course. In case of engine powered forklift trucks, however, Nissan adheres to a policy of using it’s own engines, preferring to build on the excellent reputation that the Nissan engine enjoys around the world.

The local presence in a particular region enables Nissan to develop and manufacture products that more accurately meet the exact needs of users. At the same time it enables Nissan to achieve the optimum combination of short delivery times, flexible production arrangements and an excellent level of service across the globe.

The new age of the 21st century has brought a period of unprecented change for Nissan Forklift, as it moves rapidly into new and diversified fields. But it has never lost sight of its fundamentals: to never compromise on research and development, to always provide satisfaction for the costumer and service to society through superior products.

Preservation of the environment has also emerged as a major theme for the times. Nissan Forklift products play their part through emission standards that surepass the strict regulations of Europe and the United States.

With a market that streches across Japan, Europe and North America, Nissan Forklift currently produces some 30,000 units annually, while drawing on the information available from across this vast area to create superior products for the future.
